New Nickel Drilling Targets at Mt Fisher

By | Announcements | No Comments

Rox Resources Limited (ASX: RXL) (“Rox” or “the Company”) is pleased to report further encouraging nickel results from a recent aircore drilling program at its 100% owned Mt Fisher Project located 500km north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.

The aircore drilling (138 holes for 8,083m) was undertaken to explore various nickel sulphide targets interpreted from airborne magnetics and electro-magnetics (Figure 1).

Managing Director Ian Mulholland commented, “These new aircore results have highlighted three new high priority targets for nickel sulphide mineralisation. One (Cutlass) is along strike 4-6km to the south of our known deposits of Camelwood and Musket, while the other two (Jim’s and Fisher South) are located further west on a possibly dislocated portion of the Mt Fisher ultramafic belt.”

Diamond Drilling Commences at Teena Zinc Prospect

By | Announcements | No Comments

Rox Resources Limited (ASX: RXL) (“Rox” or “the Company”) is pleased to report that a 4,000 metre diamond drilling program has commenced at the Teena prospect, which forms part of the Reward zinc project in the Northern Territory.

The Reward project is subject to an option/joint venture (JV) agreement between Rox (49%) and Teck Australia Pty Ltd (“Teck”) (51%), a subsidiary of Canada’s largest diversified resource company Teck Resources Limited. Teck have elected to increase their JV interest to 70% by expending up to $15 million in total by 31 August 2018.

Managing Director Ian Mulholland commented, “This new diamond drilling program is designed to define the limits of the large high grade zinc mineralised system already discovered at Teena. The results will give us a better idea of the size dimensions and therefore resource potential.”

Strong New Drilling Result From Cannonball

By | Announcements | No Comments

Rox Resources Limited (ASX: RXL) (“Rox” or “the Company”) is pleased to report further encouraging drill results from its recent Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling program at the Musket and Cannonball prospects (Figure 1), which form part of the 100% owned Fisher East Nickel Project located 500km north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.

The RC drilling was undertaken to both define and delineate near-surface nickel sulphide mineralisation as part of a resource estimation on Musket, and also to further explore the previous nickel sulphide intercepts made at the Cannonball prospect.

Managing Director Ian Mulholland commented, “This new RC result from Cannonball opens things right up. Prior to this we had several intersections of about 1 metre thick grading 3-4% Ni, which was encouraging, but now this hole has intersected a 3 metre width of similar grade showing that potential down dip for a new high grade zone of thicker mineralisation could be quite strong.”

RC Drilling Scheduled at Bonya

By | Announcements | No Comments

Rox Resources Limited (ASX: RXL) (“Rox” or “the Company”) is pleased to report results from a ground EM survey conducted at the Bonya project located 350km east of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory, adjacent to the Jervois copper deposit (JORC Mineral Resource of 13.5 Mt @ 1.3% Cu, 25 g/tAg, KGL:ASX).

A ground EM survey was recently completed and results received are shown below. Three previously identified VTEM anomalies (03, 04 & 05, Figure 1, ASX:RXL 14 March 2014) were re-surveyed and the ground EM results were very similar to the VTEM (Figure 2), with similar responses and interpreted conductive plates.

One of the anomalies (BVTEM_04) has associated copper carbonate (malachite) staining on the outcropping rocks and a copper-in-soil anomaly , suggesting the presence of copper mineralisation below.

Quarterly Report For Period Ended 30 June 2014

By | Announcements | No Comments

The second quarter of 2014 has seen significant exploration success for Rox Resources Limited (“Rox” or “the Company”), at the Mt Fisher project in Western Australia (Figure 1) where a coherent body of high grade nickel sulphide mineralisation has been identified at the Musket prospect by RC and diamond drilling. The Musket deposit is still open at depth and along strike. In addition, encouraging exploration results have been received at the Cannonball prospect, with more drilling warranted.

Teck Australia Pty Ltd (“Teck”) is planning an exploration program at the Reward project (Rox 49%, Teck 51%) in the Northern Territory where approximately 4,000 metres of diamond drilling is scheduled to commence in late August 2014, mainly at the Teena prospect where previous diamond drilling in 2013 returned significant intersections of sulphide mineralization over a strike length of 1.3km, including 20m @ 15% Zn+Pb from 944m.

An RC drilling program is also planned at the Bonya copper project to follow up VTEM anomalies that could represent deposits of copper sulphide mineralisation.

Exceptional Grades Over Increased Thickness

By | Announcements | No Comments

Rox Resources Limited (ASX: RXL) (“Rox” or “the Company”) is pleased to confirm further exceptional massive high grade nickel sulphide intersections from a Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling program at the Musket prospect (Figure 1), which forms part of the 100% owned Fisher East Nickel Project located 500km north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.

The RC drilling is being undertaken to define and delineate additional near-surface nickel sulphide mineralisation as part of a resource estimation currently underway.

Managing Director Ian Mulholland commented, “These new RC results back up the results we released from Musket a few days ago. It looks like we have identified a near-surface, thicker high grade zone which is consistently running above 8% Ni.”

More Massive Sulphides At Musket

By | Announcements | No Comments

Rox Resources Limited (ASX: RXL) (“Rox” or “the Company”) is pleased to confirm massive high grade nickel sulphides were intersected near surface during a Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling program at the Musket prospect (Figure 1), which forms part of the 100% owned Fisher East Nickel Project located 500km north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.

The RC drilling is being undertaken to define and delineate additional near-surface nickel sulphide mineralisation as part of a resource estimation currently underway.

Managing Director Ian Mulholland commented, “This additional RC drilling will add new tonnes to our overall project mineral resource, and will assist in the resource model planning for Musket.”

Musket Drilling Update

By | Announcements | No Comments

Rox Resources Limited (ASX: RXL) (“Rox” or “the Company”) wishes to advise that it has completed the first stage diamond drilling program (15 holes for 5,200m) at the Musket prospect at its Mt Fisher gold-nickel project, 500km north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.

The drilling has defined a coherent body of ore grade nickel sulphide mineralisation that has been drilled to approximately 400m depth and is still open down dip and along strike (Figure 1).

A resource estimate will now be undertaken in order to assess and quantify the additions to the overall project resource (i.e. including the existing Camelwood Mineral Resource of 1.6 Mt @ 2.2% Ni for approximately 35,000 tonnes of contained nickel).

Letter to Shareholders

By | Announcements | No Comments

Dear Shareholder,

I am pleased to be able to report progress for the first half of 2014.

So far it has been another fruitful year for your Company with significant advances at our Fisher East nickel sulphide project and in particular the Musket deposit which was only discovered in December last year.

The excellent drilling results reported to date from Musket have intersected some of the highest grades of massive nickel sulphides ever recorded in Western Australia, with values up to 20% nickel. We have defined a coherent body of nickel sulphide mineralisation with true thicknesses of up to 10 metres. The mineralisation remains open both at depth and along strike to the north.
