Musket Drilling Update

By | Announcements | No Comments

Rox Resources Limited (ASX: RXL) (“Rox” or “the Company”) is pleased to report further solid drilling results from its diamond drilling program currently underway at the Musket nickel sulphide prospect near Mt Fisher, 500km north of Kalgoorlie, Western Australia.

Rox Managing Director, Mr Ian Mulholland said, “The latest results from Musket confirm that we have identified a coherent body of nickel sulphide mineralisation down to 300m depth that we haven’t closed off yet. True widths in some holes are over 10m thick and have grades of 2.0% Ni or better. These results augur well for the estimation of a significant maiden resource later this year.”

Further Thick High Grade Nickel Sulphide Results at Musket

By | Announcements | No Comments

Rox Resources Limited (ASX: RXL) (“Rox” or “the Company”) is pleased to report further positive assay results from its current diamond drilling program currently underway at the Musket nickel sulphide prospect.

The early stage results from Musket, which forms part of the Fisher East nickel sulphide project 500km north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia, have intersected a thick zone of high grade nickel sulphide mineralisation.

Rox Managing Director, Mr Ian Mulholland said, “Even at this early stage of the drilling program the mineralisation at Musket is demonstrating excellent consistency of both grade and thickness over considerable strike and down dip extent. We are confident that results to date, and further drilling, will significantly add to the resources already identified at Camelwood (1.6 Mt @ 2.2% Ni).”

Quarterly Report For Period Ended 31 March 2014

By | Announcements | No Comments

The first quarter of 2014 has seen further exploration success for Rox Resources Limited (“Rox” or “the Company”), at the Mt Fisher project in Western Australia (Figure 1) where additional thick zones of high grade nickel sulphide mineralisation have been identified at the Cannonball and Musket prospects by RC and diamond drilling.

Teck Australia Pty Ltd (“Teck”) is planning an exploration program at the Reward project (Rox 49%, Teck 51%) in the Northern Territory where approximately 4,000 metres of diamond drilling is being considered for 2014, mainly at the Teena prospect where previous diamond drilling in 2013 returned significant intersections of sulphide mineralization, including 20m @ 15% Zn+Pb from 944m over a strike length of 1.3km.

A drilling program is also planned at the Bonya copper project to follow up recently identified VTEM anomalies that could represent deposits of copper sulphide mineralisation.

Musket Returns Highest Nickel Grade Yet, 0.9m at 19.5% Ni

By | Announcements | No Comments

Rox Resources Limited (ASX: RXL) (“Rox” or “the Company”) is pleased to report the first assay results from diamond drilling at the Musket prospect, part of the Fisher East nickel sulphide project 500km north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.

The first diamond drill hole, MFED042, targeted 35m down dip from previous RC hole MFEC065 (17m @ 2.2% Ni, including 2m @ 8.1% Ni), intersected a thick zone of nickel sulphide mineralisation grading 15.0m @ 2.7% Ni, including 0.9m @ 19.5% Ni of massive sulphide from 264.7m downhole. Estimated true width is approximately 10m.

The second diamond drill hole in the program, MFED043, intersected similar mineralisation style and thickness, 85m down dip from RC hole MFEC065 and 50m down dip from diamond drill hole MFEC042 (Figures 1 – 3), with assays pending.

Rox Resources Limited (ASX: RXL) (“Rox” or “the Company”) is pleased to report the results of preliminary metallurgical testwork on samples from the Camelwood nickel sulphide deposit at the Fisher East nickel sulphide project, 500km north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.

A series of sighter flotation tests were undertaken on a number of composite drill samples of primary massive (head grade 6.7% Ni), primary disseminated (head grade 2.4% Ni), transitional semi-massive (head grade 5.4% Ni) and transitional disseminated (head grade 2.4% Ni) mineralisation.

The testwork was carried out at Bureau Veritas Laboratories under the supervision of Mineral Engineering Technical Services Pty Ltd (METS).

High Grade PGE Results

By | Announcements | No Comments

Rox Resources Limited (ASX: RXL) (“Rox” or “the Company”) is pleased to report high platinum, palladium and gold (PGE) values from its recent Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling program at the Fisher East nickel sulphide project, 500km north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.

The high PGE values of 2m @ 5.0 g/t Pt+Pd+Au add significant potential value to the Musket massive sulphide mineralisation. In addition, high copper values of 2m @ 0.53% Cu were recorded from the same material that previously assayed 2m @ 8.1% Ni.

High Grade Massive Nickel Sulphide Intersections

By | Announcements | No Comments

Rox Resources Limited (ASX: RXL) (“Rox” or “the Company”) is pleased to report assay results from its recent Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling program which commenced at its Fisher East nickel sulphide project, 500km north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia on 5 February 2014.

The RC drilling program of 14 holes for 2,663 metres was designed to further define the high grade zones at the two new nickel sulphide discoveries made by Rox at Musket and Cannonball (ASX: 10 January 2014) along the strike of the Camelwood ultramafic unit (Figure 1).

Managing Director Ian Mulholland commented, “These are terrific results with the thick, high grade intersections from Musket particularly exciting. The 2 metres grading over 8% Ni, which is our best nickel hit yet, indicates the presence of high tenor massive sulphides and the potential for a thicker high grade shoot at Musket”.
